Today's profession of architect, a profession which is already looking at the future, took centre stage during the first edition of ARCHITECT@WORK Turin, last 23rd and 24th October at Lingotto Fiere. The event was welcomed and experienced with enthusiasm and warmth by professionals. At the end of the two days, as many as 1,277 people attended the event, a great result for a first edition.
Massimo Giuntoli, President of the Order of Architects of Turin, defined the exhibition as “the perfect expression of the needs for ongoing formation and updating of the 4.0 architect”, praising the hospitality, the seminars organisation, the fully met expectations as well as the opportunities for meetings between architects and businesses, tailored to the demands to create synergies and grant the ever more urgent request for the development of tools which are consistent with the circular economy applied to design.
Visitors demonstrated great interest in the innovative products showcased by exhibitors, carefully selected by the judging panel of ARCHITECT@WORK: solutions capable of combining aesthetic value, functionality and environmental compatibility, elements which have been studied taking into account the quality of architecture, installations and technology. In some cases, they were actual inventions, starting out as unusual and tangible responses to recurrent problems.
Exhibiting companies demonstrated their enthusiasm too. They describe the first exhibition in Turin as a democratic event, in which time and places to dialogue with visitors are divided equally, thus proving perfect instruments for establishing long-term contacts and connections.
The upcoming event featuring ARCHITECT@WORK Italy will take place in Milan on 13th and 14th November, a sixth edition rich in meetings, updating and formation opportunities.
